Closing of registration for ALL ENTRIES is on February 15, 2025

All competition categories are open to adults (18years old and above) unless stated otherwise.

If you will be entering at least 1 Competition Category, this entitles you to 1 FREE 3-Day ENTRY PASS (non-transferrable). No need to purchase an extra ticket.

IMPORTANT:

All cake entries should be created EXCLUSIVELY for Cake Fiesta Manila 2025.

Cake Entries entered in different competitions anywhere (virtual or physical) in the world are NOT ALLOWED and will be disqualified. No refund will be given.

All entries MUST BE brought to the event location on March 26/27, 2025 (final details will be announced soon). We have the right to refuse your entry/ies if you come later than scheduled time.

We have a dedicated photographer who will take photos of your (1) entry and (1) with you in it. These will be used for the People’s Choice Awards – ONLINE COMPETITION. All photos will be uploaded on our official CFM Facebook Page and you are free to use them.

Each category winner for People’s Choice Award will receive P3,000 worth of products from respective sponsors.

You must NOT post any picture of your entry anywhere in social media until judging has completed on March 28, 2025. You will be immediately disqualified and no refund will be given.

Competitor must present proof of payment/registration upon delivery of entry.

An individual can only have 1 entry per category but can join multiple categories. No 2 names can be registered in 1 entry. All entries are individual.

All entries MUST only be removed on March 29, 2025 from 7:30pm onwards. All entries not collected by 9pm, will be removed and discarded.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD:

  • All cake display entries will have a chance to win the People’s Choice Award per category. Photos will be live on our official Cake Fiesta Manila Facebook Page on March 28, 2025 (or as soon as the judges have submitted all their score sheets) and will close on March 29, 2025 at 12noon, Philippine time.
  • Please make sure to follow our official FB Page at https://www.facebook.com/cakefiestamanila
  • As soon as the photos are LIVE, you may now start campaining for your entry. Competitors must share ONLY the official photos from our CFM FB Page.
  • The entry with most number of Facebook “reactions” PLUS “shares” (excluding number of comments) will be the winner per category.
  • Only the number or reactions and shares in our official FB Page will be counted.
  • Winner of each category will win P3,000 worth of products from Category Sponsor and a Certificate. No cash prize or medal.
  • All certificates and product prizes must be STRICTLY claimed and collected by the end of the awarding ceremony on March 29, 2025, either by the winner or an authorized representative. Cake Fiesta Manila WILL NOT arrange any delivery on any date. Cake Fiesta Manila reserves the right to keep and use ANY unclaimed product prizes however they deem it appropriate.

At Cake Fiesta Manila Cake Competitions, you will experience the feel of an International Cake Competition.  Whether you are a beginner, hobbyist or a pro, everyone has a fair chance. Your entry will be judged according to criteria set by the Judging Committee. 

Your work will not be compared to the other entries and judges will rate your work according to how you will present it. Keep in mind all the criteria, then add a teaspoon of skills, a pinch of passion, a dash of sugar and cups of practice and beat them all together!

Sugar Flower Display Category

A realistic display of sugar flowers and foliage to create a lovely bunch

PROUDLY SPONSORED BY:

  • The bouquet and all its elements should be made from any edible paste medium. (gumpaste, fondant, rice paste, flexipaste, lotus paste, etc.) Wafer paper is not allowed.
  • There has to be 12 fully bloomed flowers (at least 3 different varieties) in your bouquet apart from the foliage and filler flowers.
  • A board or a non-edible container (vase, basket, etc) to display your entry is permitted. Styrofoam or dummy cake is not permitted.
  • Wires, stamens and tape are permitted.
  • No height restrictions. The display must not EXCEED a 30cm x30cm (12” x12”) square.
  • If using a cake board, they should be covered
    and ribbon is permitted on cake drums only.
  • All elements of the entry must be contained within the given dimension specified in the category.
  • The judges reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry they feel is violating the rules or
    is not to the required standards.
  • Competitors may not enter a display that has been previously entered in another competition
    and risk being disqualified if they do so.
  • The display must be solely the work of the person on
    the entry form.
  • The organizers have the right to use photographs taken of competitor’s displays for commercial purposes.

100% Buttercream Cake Category

A two-tiered cake decorated in any type of buttercream in your chosen theme.

PROUDLY SPONSORED BY:

  • Any type of buttercream or frosting may be used to cover and decorate the cake. (eg american buttercream, swiss/italian meringue bc, french bc, etc). Whipped Cream or any different brands of frostings are allowed to use.
  • Dummies/styrofoam are permitted but all tiers must be treated as a real cake.
  • You must use exactly 2 tiers for your cake entry only, no more, no less. Size of tiers are regardless.
  • The shapes of the tiers should be a typical shape and not carved/sculpted cake. (eg round, square, octagon, etc.)
  • “Spacer tiers” are NOT accepted (eg lighted tiers, pillars,etc).
  • No height restrictions. The display must not EXCEED a 30cm x30cm (12in x12in) space.
  • If using a cake board, they should be covered
    and ribbon is permitted on cake drums only.
  • All elements of the entry must be contained within the given dimension specified in the category.
  • The judges reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry they feel is violating the rules or
    is not to the required standards.

Sugar Model/Figure Category

A small model/figure of a person/caricature in any theme made with sugar

PROUDLY SPONSORED BY:

  • The overall figure/model can be made with any decorating medium.
  • The use of silicone moulds to create any parts of the body is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED. Everything must be hand modelled.
  • Wires, armatures or any form of support is allowed but must be completely concealed.
  • Use of styrofoam, rice krispies for internal structure is allowed but must be concealed.
  • Everything visible MUST BE EDIBLE.
  • You can submit a sugar model/figure with any theme of your choice.
  • There must be ONLY 1 (one) FULL BODY sugar model/figure (caricature or realistic human model) as a focal design of your entry. Bust sculpture design will be disqualified.
  • Accessories, props or other elements to show the story of your entry can be added within the space permitted – EXCEPT another human/caricature figure. (eg purse, pets, scenery, etc.)
  • Sugar model/figure can show any movement. (eg standing, dancing, sitting, etc.)
  • Entry can be placed directly on the main board or mounted on a small piece of board/dummy not higher than 2in and this must be covered with any edible medium as well.
  • Main base board should be well covered with any edible medium. Keep in mind that the board/base design is also part of the overall judging criteria.
  • Back board is NOT permitted.
  • The display must not EXCEED a 25cm x25cm (10in x 10in) board.
  • Height restriction is up to 38cm (15in)only.
  • If using a cake board, they should be covered
    and ribbon is permitted on cake drums only.
  • All elements of the entry must be contained within the given dimension specified in the category.
  • The judges reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry they feel is violating the rules or
    is not to the required standards.
  • Competitors may not enter a display that has been previously entered in another competition

  • Ang mga accessory, props o iba pang elemento upang ipakita ang kuwento ng iyong entry ay maaaring idagdag sa loob ng pinahihintulutang espasyo – MALIBAN sa ibang tao/karikatura na pigura. (halimbawa na maaaring idagdag: bag, maliit na alagang hayop, elemento ng isang tanawin, atbp.)
  • Ang modelo/figure ay maaaring magpakita ng anumang paggalaw. (hal. nakatayo, sumasayaw, nakaupo, atbp.)
  • Ang entry ay maaaring direktang ilagay sa main board o i-mount sa isang maliit na piraso ng board/dummy na hindi mas mataas sa 2in at ito ay dapat na takpan din ng anumang nakakain na medium.
  • Ang pangunahing base board ay dapat na maayos na natatakpan ng anumang edible medium. Tandaan na ang disenyo ng board/base ay bahagi rin ng pangkalahatang pamantayan sa paghusga.
  • Ang back board ay HINDI pinahihintulutan.
  • Ang display ay hindi dapat lumampas sa isang 25cm x25cm (10in x 10in) na board.
  • Ang total na taas ng entry ay hanggang 38cm (15in) lamang.
  • Kung gagamit ng cake board, dapat itong takpan at ribbon ay pinahihintulutan sa mga cake drums lamang.

Celebration Cake Category

A single tiered cake covered with any edible medium for ANY special occasion.

PROUDLY SPONSORED BY:

  • Dummy/styrofoam is permitted.
  • Only single tiered cake decorated in any chosen edible medium.
  • Cake should be regular in shape and in no way should be carved or sculpted.
  • Chosen occasion must be visibly obvious and clear.
  • Cake entry must have an edible inscription with a minimum of ten letters/ numbers indicating the occasion. (eg Happy Birthday, 25th Pahiyas Festival, etc.)
  • Wired sugar flowers and foliage are permitted.
  • Height restriction is up to 38cm (15in)only.
  • The display must not EXCEED a 30cm x30cm (12in x12in) space.
  • Main base board should be well covered with any edible medium. Keep in mind that the board/base design is also part of the overall judging criteria.
  • Back board is NOT permitted.
  • If using a cake board, they should be covered
    and ribbon is permitted on cake drums only.
  • All elements of the entry must be contained within the given dimension specified in the category.
  • The judges reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry they feel is violating the rules or

A 2-tier novelty cake decorated with any medium and theme of your choice.

  • Any edible medium may be used to cover and decorate.
  • Wired sugar flowers and foliage are permitted, but must not penetrate the coating unless a suitable barrier is used.
  • Any style or theme is permitted.
  • The shapes of the tiers should be a typical shape and not carved/sculpted cake. (eg round, square, octagon, etc.)
  • Dummies/styrofoam are permitted but all tiers must be treated as a real cake.
  • Entry must be exactly 2 tiers.
  • “Spacer tiers” are NOT accepted (eg lighted tiers, pillars,etc) .
  • Display drapes and other element must be contained in the permitted area.
  • No height restrictions. The display must not EXCEED a 30cm x30cm (12inx12n) space.
  • If using a cake board, they should be covered
    and ribbon is permitted on cake drums only.

Three or more tiers with the the style, theme and medium of your choice.

  • Wired sugar flowers and foliage are permitted, but must not penetrate the coating unless a suitable barrier is used.
  • Any style or theme is permitted.
  • The shapes of the tiers should be a typical shape and not carved/sculpted cake. (eg round, square, octagon, etc.)
  • Dummies/styrofoam are permitted but all tiers must be treated as a real cake.
  • Minimum of 3 tiers.
  • “Spacer tiers” are accepted (eg lighted tiers, pillars,etc) but these do not count to the actual number of tiers.
  • Display drapes and other element must be contained in the permitted area.
  • No height restrictions. The display must not EXCEED a 48cm x48cm (18” x18”) space.
  • If using a cake board, they should be covered
    and ribbon is permitted on cake drums only.
  • All elements of the entry must be contained within the given dimension specified in the category.
  • The judges reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry they feel is violating the rules or
    is not to the required standards.
  • Competitors may not enter a display that has been previously entered in another competition
    and risk being disqualified if they do so.
  • The display must be solely the work of the person on
    the entry form.
  • The organizers have the right to use photographs taken of competitor’s displays for commercial purposes.

A carved 100 % cake covered in any suitable edible medium.

  • It has to be real cake, carved and covered in any suitable edible medium.
  • Rice krispies treats may be used only when absolutely necessary.
  • The cake and all decorations must be edible and internal supports /armature are permitted but must be properly covered.
  • Styrofoam/dummies are NOT permitted.
  • No height restrictions. The display must not EXCEED a 60cmx60cm (24in x24in) space.
  • If using a cake board, they should be covered
    and ribbon is permitted on cake drums only.
  • All elements of the entry must be contained within the given dimension specified in the category.
  • The judges reserve the right to remove or disqualify any entry they feel is violating the rules or
    is not to the required standards.
  • Competitors may not enter a display that has been previously entered in another competition
    and risk being disqualified if they do so.
  • The display must be solely the work of the person on

4 individually unique but themed 2D cookies using completely royal icing.

  • It has to be 100% cookies. No dummy/styrofoam is permitted.
  • You should prepare and design 4 individually unique cookies with a minimum size of 4inx4in each. Style or theme is at Competitor’s choice.
  • The decorating medium is strictly using royal icing only.
  • No artificial decoration may be used. No sprinkles, dragees, etc are allowed.
  • The use of moulds and textured rolling pins are not permitted.
  • The cookie must be an embossed 2D design ONLY. No 3D designs.
  • Painting can be incorporated into the design but not as the main decoration.
  • The cookies may be presented on a plate stand or board.
  • No glaze is permitted in this class.

  • You should prepare 12 cupcakes with a minimum of 6 unique individual designs. Other designs can be repeated.
  • The cupcakes can be decorated with any edible medium and theme of your choice.
  • Any decorative topper must be balanced with the overall design of the cupcake.
  • Display stands, a covered board or a suitable surface may be used are permitted as long as it fits the space restriction.You can also display the cupcakes as it is.
  • Back board is NOT permitted.
  • No height restrictions. The display must not EXCEED a 38cm x38cm (15in x15in) space.
